HANDS OVAL is one of the largest sports field, Hydraulic pole projects ever supplied in Australia. Hands Oval is located in South Bunbury Western Australia 160km south of Perth. The sporting venue consists of a large playing field used for soccer, football, rugby union and rugby league.
The installation comprised 2 x 40m fixed poles located behind the grandstand and 4 x 35m hydraulic poles each supporting up to 24 x Sylvania R3 Maxi luminaires. Each hydraulic pole has a permanently mounted hydraulic ram which is operated by a hydraulic power pack mounted on a small trailer which can be towed by a small tractor or vehicle. The power pack is controlled by GM Poles unique PLC system providing safe and controlled operation.
