Medium to Large Tapered Poles

GM Poles manufacture an extensive range of poles to cater for projects requiring poles greater than 12m in height. Once a lighting designer has completed a floodlighting design, our clients provide us with details including project location, type and quantity of lights, aiming angles, mounting heights and other specific requirements.  GM Poles then use satellite imagery to assess the project site in accordance with Australian Standards to identify the applicable wind speeds for correct pole design and location.

Poles greater than 12m in height are structures increasingly sensitive to wind and analysis of their dynamic behaviour is complex and requires high level engineering expertise. GM Poles standard floodlighting range has been specifically designed to cover common floodlighting applications in every Australian wind region. GM Poles also have the in-house expertise to design custom floodlight poles to suit your specific requirements.

Through our relationships with all key lighting manufacturers and designers, we understand the unique traits of each fitting so that we can ensure our headframes and poles are designed to accommodate their requirements. We also know and appreciate the space requirements for remote tray mounted gear and hence our pole diameters have been specifically selected to enable optimum numbers of gear trays to be accommodated in the access doors at the base of the pole. GM Poles also understand the needs of electricians and hence each door is also fitted with a steel tray on which the gear trays can be mounted.
