Security and surveillance poles should not be confused with light poles. The allowable deflection of a light pole in wind would typically render the imagery from a camera pole completely useless. Poles utilised for supporting cameras normally need to meet very stringent deflection criteria. Camera poles come in every shape and size and are sometimes mid-hinged for ease of maintenance. They are generally used in areas that require safety and monitoring of a certain location or position. Standard pole heights are 4.0m to 15.0m depending on customer’s requirements.
